How do I know if therapy is right for me?Therapy can benefit anyone experiencing emotional, psychological, or behavioral issues. If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or struggling with life transitions, therapy may be helpful.
-
What should I expect in my first therapy session? In your first session, you'll discuss your background, reasons for seeking therapy, and your goals. This helps the therapist understand your needs and tailor a specific treatment plan for your needs.
-
How often do I need to attend therapy sessions? The frequency of sessions depends on individual needs and goals. Typically, sessions are weekly, but this can be adjusted as therapy progresses.
-
How long does therapy usually last? The duration of therapy varies based on individual needs and the complexity of the issues being addressed. Some people may benefit from a few sessions, while others may continue for several months or years.
-
Is therapy confidential?Yes, therapy sessions are confidential. Information shared in therapy is protected by privacy laws, with certain exceptions, such as imminent harm to self or others.
-
Do you offer in-person or online therapy sessions?I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions to accommodate your needs and preferences. For in-person sessions, my office is a comfortable, private space designed to provide a safe and supportive environment. Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure your confidentiality and convenience.
-
How do I choose the right therapist for me?Choosing the right therapist is important. Consider their specialties, therapeutic approach, and your comfort level with them. Initial consultations can help determine a good fit.
-
What are your fees and do you accept insurance? My fee for individual therapy is $200 for a 50-minute session. My fee for couples therapy is $275 for a 90 minutes intake session and $225 for a 60 minutes regular couples therapy session. I am not paneled with insurance. I am an out-of-network provider and offer an itemized bill (Superbill) for reimbursement from your insurance company. I encourage you to contact your insurance company to determine your out-of-network benefits. I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots for clients who are experiencing financial hardship. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis during our initial consultation. Please don't hesitate to ask if you would like to discuss this option.
